Leonard Boord is the founder of Slon Capital, an investment firm in Miami. Leonard is a four-time CEO focusing on the technology sector in Latin America. Two of the startups he helped develop were acquired by Fortune 500 buyers and a third was an MBO that was also acquired. The first, InterPC, became a leading distributor of technology products and was acquired by MicroAge in 1998. The second, Procura Digital, was formed as a joint venture between Leonard, his partners, and Banco Santander; it focused on building electronic marketplaces and it was acquired by Santander in 2006. A third exit occurred when Leonard invested in Tallard Technologies, which was later acquired by ItauTec. A member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, he currently serves as the Treasurer of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), is the Finance Chair and a Trustee at Florida International University, and is a member of the board of four private companies involved in logistics, fourth party logistics, mobile payments and airport concessions. He has completed advanced Fintech courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Leonard is a member of the Bitcoin Foundation.
