Kellam Ames is a veteran fintech entrepreneur and has been a crypto investor since 2012, focused on emerging digital technologies in the global, networked marketplace. He currently leads ecosystem development and investor relations for the VideoCoin Network with Halsey Minor, creating a platform for highly distributed video encoding, storage and streaming. VideoCoin taps into unused or under-utilized computers in data centers to dramatically lower the cost of internet video, allowing for the next YouTube, Netflix, and video apps to emerge. In May 2018, Kellam and his team successfully raised $50 million in private presale funding from the world’s leading crypto and blockchain funds. Previously, he was the Director of Sales for both GE Information Services and JDA software, working in a variety of complex, highly competitive industries. He holds an MBA in international business from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
